NEW! Curiositiesbycathy

Welcome to my NEW Curiositiesbycathy where each one-of-a-kind piece is handmade from vintage figurines and found glassware. The technique I use is called Picassiette: a French term meaning “ Stolen from plate.” It consists of broken dishes, china, figurines, beads, buttons, gems, jewelry, etc., glued onto a base to create a new, unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art that tells a story. I love mixing nature with human forms, as you may have noticed. Heads and bodies find new “homes” in my studio. When not in my studio, I am searching through thrift shops, flea markets and yard sales to discover that “perfect found object.” Thank you for taking interest in my work and I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I have in creating them.  Sincerely Cathy.

Please visit my ETSY shop to find the perfect one-of-a-kind gift.
